WHO WE ARE
The Khadidja Brahim Foundation is fully registered non profit organization located in in Abuja FCT, Nigeria CACITNO100374. Aimed at helping the over 81% of Nigerians (137 million) without access to clean drinking water and proper toilet facilities. The objective is to be able to place a fully automated borehole and Bio-Digester toilet facility in every community in need in Nigeria and educate the populace on the importance of sanitation and hygiene and the value of clean water as it relates to their health and the impact on their environment.
Founded by Khadidja Brahim in 2016, the organization has placed 27 boreholes so far in and around Abuja and as far out as Nasarawa, Kaduna and Niger State with our "Water is life!" program. To date this program has directly impacted the life of many Nigerians with over 70,000 people now having access to potable water in their communities.
The next phase of our work is to introduce our "Bio loos for better health" program which is directed at impacting the serious issue of open defecation in Nigeria. Nigeria is the worst country in Africa when it comes to urban sanitation access. And with open defecation rates at 28.5 per cent, this poses grave public health risks.
You can help today by making a contribution to changing the lives of people, communities and the country for the better!
