OUR PROCESS

BHDR.jpg

Since our founding in 2016, the Khadidja Brahim foundation has worked hand in hand with Habibu engineering LTD of Abuja. Through this partnership we have been able to be extremely proactive in ensuring boreholes are placed right away once funding is secured. Every borehole we have installed so far has been through individual donations and our own funds.

Because of this we have developed a simple 3 pronged approach to our methodology:

IDENTIFY

Our first job is to identify a community in need. We do this trough word of mouth, research and from community leaders such as the chairman of the Bwari area council in Abuja where we have placed 5 boreholes. We work with communities with a general population of 3000 that lack immediate access to clean drinking water and or public toilet facilities. This is done to ensure the borehole and or Bio- digester toilet facility installed will have a greater reach and  actionable impact on the people there. If you know of or live in such a community contact us today.

EVALUATE

Through our engineering and construction partners at Habibu Engineering LTD. A small team is sent out to the location to verify that there is indeed no access to potable water and or toilets for the community. A feasibility study is conducted to make sure that water is available and can procured through an automated borehole. We then work with community leaders to identify the best area for placement and installation of the borehole/Bio-digester toilet so that its easily accessible to the immediate population.

INSTALL

Once all the prerequisites are done. A team is sent out to install the borehole/Bio-digester toilet. Our turn around time once funding is secured from identifying to installation can take less then a month. We are extremely proactive in ensuring that the communities who are in need, are taken care of and provided for immediately. There is no long process or red tape within our organization. 75% of all donations go directly to pay for all equipment and labor required. The remainder goes to administrative, marketing, fundraising and overhead costs to maintain the foundation.
